Art Opening at the coolest salon in Burbank!

The Art of Aaron Kraten

WAX POETIC GALLERY PRESENTS THE ART OF AARON KRATEN: SATURDAY, MARCH 22, 2008

Wax Poetic Gallery is proud to announce that world renowned artist Aaron Kraten will be presenting his latest work at a reception being held March 22nd. Kraten will be showing the mixed media paintings he is widely known for, and will also be revealing his newest creation: art on wood. The opening reception will be from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday March 22nd. As always, records will be spinning by Wax Poetic resident - DJ Jag and refreshments will be served.

This is the second show at Wax Poetic Gallery for Aaron Kraten. Owner Kerry Hite said she is excited to be working with him again. Hite elaborated by saying, "It is going to be great to have Aaron's art back in the gallery. I hope to purchase some of Aaron's work for myself, that is, if there are any paintings left by the end of the show". San Francisco born and Huntington Beach raised, Kraten is a self-taught artist whose pop-culture inspired work is now featured in the Laguna Art Museum, The Museum of Contemporary Art, as well as in a multitude of art publications. Kraten recently collaborated with Etnies skate wear to produce a line of apparel featuring his artwork. Kraten has said his work is constantly inspired by, "people, objects, and pop-culture." He refers to his collection as "society-based artwork" and that description is evident in his raw and unique depictions of inspirations such as video games, graffiti, and fashion. The fact that Kraten actually finger-paints each and every piece of art and has never used brushes only makes his work more awe-inspiring and gives a certain rich and textured look to each painting.

From humble beginnings in 1999 with only a bottle of spray paint and some wooden crates, to being featured in some of the world's most renowned art museums; Kraten's inspiring story and his love for his creations is more than evident. Kraten's work will be for sale at the show and will be featured in the gallery until mid May. This show is open to the public and is appropriate for all ages.
Hope to see you there!

Gimme a G
Strapless G-string Underwear

2007 was all about showing your punany to the public. But now hoo-has are out. (Or should we say in?)

Thanks to Shibue Couture, you can still wear absurdly short, tight dresses without flashing your vadge to the whole world.

The panties go from your nani-nani to your bum-bum without wrapping around your hips. (Need some help visualizing? See picture.) They’re the first ever strapless G-strings.

Made of soft, high-quality fabrics (unclear which kinds), each one comes with a liner and twelve adhesives, which mold to your special place. Yes, folks, they are reusable. Just remove the sticky stuff (the tape, people, the tape), rinse the fabric with mild soap and water, put on new adhesive, and you’re ready to whore out again.

Go with the pink one with red hearts or the black with gold studs.

Either way, it’ll keep your privates private.
